Deeds of Lust: Smut4Smut Letter 2021
Feb. 15th, 2021 07:14 pmHi! Thank you for making a gift for me; I'm really happy that we share a love for these ships and I would be equally thrilled with a story about any of them. Tolkien is the fandom of my heart – I dabble in others, but this is the one I always return to.
There are some things I would prefer not to receive in this exchange:
- Character bashing
- Crack
- Extreme underage (probably only relevant for the Aotrou and Itroun requests, but please keep participants post-puberty)
- Focus on bodily functions, particularly for kink purposes (i.e. no scat, no graphic depictions of vomiting, etc.)
- Focus on unrequested ships
- Heavy/lifestyle BDSM
- Pregnancy; childbirth; babies; menstruation (The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun is an exception to these DNWs)
- Some other kinks - please no foot kink, dental kink, belly kink, or lactation kink; nothing to do with eggs/oviposition; no vore unless specifically prompted; no age play, daddy/mummy kink or infantilisation
- Nothing to do with inflation, stuffing, over- or under-eating, discussion of weight, or anything to do with eating disorders or disordered eating in general
- Unrequested AU that significantly changes the canon setting (canon divergence is welcome and encouraged, but I would prefer not to receive mermaid AUs, A/B/O fic, etc.)
If we've matched on The Silmarillion, please note I also have a very strong aversion to the Noldor being depicted as wicked villains/wrong in their desire to leave Aman/deserving of their tragic fate. I am not a “Valar-basher”; I think the Ainur are fascinating, but I would prefer not to have them depicted as perfect, infallible, and right in everything they do.
Outside of that, follow the call of your heart. I love all kinds of fic – romance, PWP, hurt/comfort, darkfic, horror, angst, fluff – and all sorts of relationship dynamics. One of the greatest delights to me as a fan is stumbling across interpretations of characters and plots and motifs that I'd never considered; I have my headcanons, but in an exchange I am always keen to know how other creators see the stories I love. You are welcome to write or draw the occupants of Middle-earth (and beyond!) in any way that you wish. Diverse skin tones; disabilities; different body types; trans, intersex and genderqueer headcanons - go for it.
Please note these are all fic requests only.
General Likes

- Adventure and peril
- Anything to do with languages, linguistics and alphabets
- Battle plans, battle scenes and/or aftermath
- Buildings brought to life in loving detail, whether that's a castle, a fortress, a barn, an unusual house, or a cosy cottage
- Candlelight
- Canon divergence AUs
- Complex character dynamics
- Conflicting motivations
- Fic inspired by my own fanworks: remixes, based on, set in the same 'verse, using the same plotline, borrowing an OC, etc.
- Food, drink and celebration
- Fusions of science and magic
- Games, contests and competition
- Ghosts, hauntings (literal and metaphorical) and liminal places
- Grief and tragedy
- Hope, redemption and reconciliation
- Hurt/comfort
- In-world meta, e.g. scholarship, literary criticism and analysis, contracts and agreements, laws and proclamations...
- In-world myths and legends
- Learning a craft or skill
- Libraries, archives and other knowledge repositories
- Loyalty and sacrifice; carrying on against impossible odds
- Mercy/pity

- Mysteries and investigations
- Myth, folklore and fairy-tale
- Objects and places with special significance – a “sense of history”
- Philosophical musings; academic discussions and debates
- Politics, on any scale
- Roaring fires
- Shining a light into places canon doesn't show us, or barely touches on – going off the edge of the map
- Starlight
- Storytelling, riddles and poetry
- Suggestion and implication, whether this is hints of backstory, a figure hiding in the shadows, or a slightly ambiguous ending – I love it when my imagination can get to work filling in the gaps
- The supernatural and the uncanny
- Unreliable narrators and quirky narrative structures – for example, epistolary, fragmented narratives, stories told through found documents, framing devices, stories told out of chronological order
- Unusual perspectives, minor characters, original characters and textual ghosts
- Witchy, fey and eldritch beings
- Wry humour; finding something to smile over when times are bleak
Relationship Likes
- Ambiguous relationships – if I've requested a ship it doesn't have to be “endgame”, or even particularly romantic. Everything from “just for fun” to “this kind of works for now because we're both/all lonely” to “I don't know whether I love you or I hate you but I definitely want to have sex with you” is fine.
- Banter and teasing
- Bedsharing; huddling for warmth
- Budding romances
- Characters being utterly fascinated by one another (doesn't have to be romantic; could be admiration of craft/skill, or being impressed by someone's intellect, or something else altogether)
- Emotional reunions after long separations
- Enemies/rivals to lovers/friends
- Fierce loyalty and devotion, to the point of one character doing something incredibly stupid to help or save somebody they love
- Fighting back-to-back
- Forehead kisses
- Friendship developing into romance
- Grey relationships that don't sit neatly in a box
- Hurt/comfort
- Quiet moments between people who care about each other, especially during or after huge events shaking their world
- Situational relationships – enemies having to work together, or people who wouldn't normally be drawn to each other forming a bond through circumstance
- “The little things” - light brushes with fingertips, smiles across a room...
- Tempestuous, complex or unhealthy relationships (see section on darker stuff); passionate encounters between individuals who would be terrible together long term, but can't resist each other in the here and now

Darker Likes
- Abandoned places; ruins; haunted houses/objects
- Being trapped in a small dark space, possibly with something terrifying lurking nearby
- Body horror. Especially pretty body horror, like flowers growing out of bodies, or being consumed from the inside by starlight.
- Body modification
- Canon divergence that initially seems like it will fix things but then makes everything worse.
- Character death. Most of these canons are somewhere on the scale from sad to tragic; death, loss and grief make them all the more powerful, so I'm happy for it to be explored (although please don't kill Maglor, who I firmly believe is still wandering around somewhere).
- Corruption and decay
- Dark magic and curses
- Dreams bleeding into reality
- Dubious consent
- Horror! Most forms of horror, to be honest. I'm rarely bothered by gore and I like being scared.
- Hurt without comfort, including terminal illness or fatal injury
- Malevolent ghosts and hauntings
- Memory loss, or memories being fake/unreliable
- Mental illness, including depression and suicidal thoughts
- Possession
- Psychological manipulation and abuse

Requests
The Fall of Arthur
Ships: Agravain/Lancelot
Tags: Angry Sex; Asking For Forgiveness Through Submission; Chivalry; Clothing - Cutting Clothes Off During Duel; Competence Kink; Competitiveness in Bed; Drugs - Drinking wine in bed before or after sex; Fealty; Oaths of Loyalty; Rivals to Lovers; unexpected tenderness
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; Major Character Death; No Archive Warnings Apply
I found Tolkien's foray into the Arthurian cycle fascinating, and there's so much potential for smutty goodness as most of the relationships are only sketched or skated over. The politics of the round table could come into play, or the mores of chivalry, or the betrayal and devotion woven through all of the legends. Feel free to draw on other Arthurian sources as well as Tolkien's poems – and, as with the Middle-earth canons, violence and death are integral to the story, so don't be afraid of including them.
Ships: Guinever/Original Fay Character(s); Guinever/Mordred
Tags: Blood Kink; Bloodplay; Bloodplay - bleeding from biting; Bondage with Living Plants/Vines; Dubiously Consensual Vampire Feeding; Erotic Fairy Tale; Magic – Witchcraft; Magic used during sex; Sex with a character without physical form; Sex while shapeshifted
Opt-in Warnings: Major Character Death; No Archive Warnings Apply
I love Tolkien's dark and witchy Guinever; she's repeatedly called fay, and implied to be pretty powerful, so I'd love something that uses sex to explore those dynamics.
The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun
Ships: Aotrou/Corrigan; Aotrou/Corrigan/Itroun; Aotrou/Itroun; Corrigan/Itroun; Daughter of Aotrou and Itroun/Corrigan; Daughter of Aotrou and Itroun/Son of Aotrou and Itroun
Tags: Blood Drinking; Blood Kink; Bloodplay; Body Horror; Bondage with Living Plants/Vines; Deal with a Devil; Dream sex resulting in real orgasm; Dream Sex- Character Uses Dream To Change Appearance; Dreams - Dream imagery and symbolism; Dubcon - shapeshifter takes someone else's form; Erotic Fairy Tale; Magic – Witchcraft; Magic used during sex; Non-Consensual Blood Drinking; Non-Consensual Somnophilia; Sex is Required to Keep Resurrected Character Alive; Sex while shapeshifted; Somnophilia - Character Wakes Up As They're Hitting Orgasm
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; Major Character Death; Rape/Noncon; Underage; No Archive Warnings Apply
I love this poem an unreasonable amount and it lends itself to all kinds of magical (and smutty) shenanigans. The Breton setting! The creepy Corrigan! Curses! Bargains! Magic! There's so much you could do with this, and I'd be thrilled to get something really dark here – non-con is more than OK for these ships, and I'd love to see blood magic explored through the lens of sex.
The Lord of the Rings
Ships: Amroth/Nimrodel; Amroth/Nimrodel/Original Character; Amroth/Original Character; Arahael/Elladan; Elfwine (son of Éomer)/Original Character; Éomer Éadig/Éothain; Original Character from Rohan/Original Character from Rohan; Original Elf Character/Original Elf Character; Original Éothéod Character/Original Éothéod Character; Original Éothéod Character/Original Wainrider Character
Tags: Bisexuality; Bondage – Blindfolds; Competence Kink; Drinking wine in bed; Fealty; First Time with Partner of the Same Gender; Injuries - Sex while recovering from an injury; Kink Discovery; Markings - Tracing Scars During Sex; Memory Loss; Oaths of Loyalty; sex under the stars
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; No Archive Warnings Apply
A bit of a grab bag here I'm afraid. The horse lords were my first fandom love, so I'm always here for anything about the Rohirrim or their predecessors, the Éothéod, and I am also fascinated by the Wainriders; there's so little about them in canon! A bond formed across the battle lines could be fascinating to explore.
If Elves are more your thing, I would love a fix-it for the tragedy of Amroth and Nimrodel (some possible ideas in my old Darkest Night letter here), or for the Arahael/Elladan request, something exploring their shared heritage and their feelings about mortality and immortality.
In terms of the OC Elves, I have no preference about their gender, where they're from or which era the fic takes place in; consider that tag the wild card choice!
Ships: Gilraen/Goldberry; Goldberry/Lady of the Blue Brooch; Goldberry/Wandlimb
Tags: Body Horror; Bondage with Living Plants/Vines; Breathplay; Erotic Fairy Tale; hot spring sex; In nature; Magic used during sex; making love; Sex with a character without physical form; Sex with plants/vines
Opt-in Warnings: Major Character Death; Rape/Noncon; No Archive Warnings Apply
Something pretty and possibly creepy set in the Old Forest, please and thank you <3
The Silmarillion
Ships: Anairë/Eärwen; Anairë/Eärwen/Finarfin; Elemmakil/Voronwë; Gwindor/Finduilas; Indis/Míriel Þerindë
Tags: banter as foreplay; banter in bed; Bath Houses; Bondage – Blindfolds; Character study through porn; Clothing - Undressing Each Other; collarbone kisses; Competence Kink; Drugs - Drinking wine in bed before or after sex; Erotic Poetry; Hair Brushing; Hair Kink; Hair Play; hot spring sex; in nature; making love; Neck Kissing; Sensation Play; sex under the stars; Sexy Shenanigans at a Masked Ball
Opt-in Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
I won't quite badge this as the soft and fluffy request (this is the Silm, after all) but I think these ships lend themselves to romance or to nice, uncomplicated PWP. I am definitely here for angst, though, if that's your bag – Indis and Míriel's last time before Míriel's marriage to Finwë? Anairë/Eärwen or Anairë/Eärwen/Finarfin after the Darkening? Gwindor/Finduilas, post re-embodiment and finding their way again? Voronwë, newly returned to Gondolin and processing his experiences away from the city?
Please note I haven't opted in to any of the major archive warnings for this request.
Ships: Fingon/Finrod/Maedhros; Gimilkhâd/Inziladûn; Original Elf Character/Original Elf Character; Original Númenórean Character/Original Númenórean Character
Tags: Angry Sex; banter as foreplay; banter in bed; Bath Houses; Biting; Bloodplay; Bondage – Blindfolds; Breathplay; Character study through porn; Clothing - Undressing Each Other; collarbone kisses; Competence Kink; Drugs - Drinking wine in bed before or after sex; Erotic Poetry; Knifeplay; Markings - Tracing Scars During Sex; Neck Kissing; Orgasm Delay; Piercings; Political Debate as Foreplay; Sensation Play; sex under the stars
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; Major Character Death; No Archive Warnings Apply
This is where I've put the potentially more political/problematic/complicated relationships, although as for all my requests PWP is absolutely fine if you don't want to delve into the background too much. I have no preference on gender for the OCs; I'll leave that entirely in the hands of my lovely writer.
Ships: Eönwë /Maglor; Eönwë/Mairon; Erendis/Uinen; Ilmarë/Thuringwethil; Lúthien/Melkor; Lúthien/Thuringwethil; Lúthien/Varda; Melian/Ungoliant; Nienna/Thuringwethil; Nienna/Vána; Tar-Míriel/Uinen; Ungoliant/Varda
Tags: Blood Drinking; Blood Kink; Bloodplay; Bloodplay - bleeding from biting; Body Horror; Breathplay; Dancing as Foreplay; Dubcon - victim doesn't want it but starts to enjoy it during the act; Dubiously Consensual Vampire Feeding; Erotic Fairy Tale; Frenemies with Benefits; in nature; Kiss of Life; Magic used during sex; sex under the stars; Sex while shapeshifted; Sex with a character without physical form; Wing Kink
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; Major Character Death; Rape/Noncon; No Archive Warnings Apply
AKA the weird eldritch Ainur request. I am really into depictions of Tolkien's Ainur that lean into their “otherness”; I like them to be at least a little unsettling! That's not to say they have to be villainous or the fic has to be dark (though it can be if you like) – I just enjoy occasional reminders that, even embodied, they aren't quite like Men or Elves.
I'm also intrigued by the concept of gender among the Ainur so feel free to explore that too if you wish.
I haven't pulled it out as a kink tag for matching purposes as it isn't a blanket “yes please”, but within this particular request, I am up for vore for ships involving the following characters: Uinen, Thuringwethil, Varda, Ungoliant.
Crossovers
Ships: Aredhel (Silmarillion)/Meássë (BoLT); Arwen (LotR)/Varda (Silmarillion); Daughter of Itroun (Lay of Aotrou and Itroun)/Nimue (Arthurian Legend); Daughter of Itroun (Lay of Aotrou and Itroun)/Goldberry (LotR); Goldberry (LotR – Tolkien)/Nimue (Arthurian Legend); Goldberry (LotR)/Pollution (Good Omens); Guinever (Fall of Arthur)/Nimue (Arthurian Legend); Guinever (Fall of Arthur)/Thuringwethil (Silmarillion); River-woman (LotR)/Uinen (Silmarillion); The Corrigan (Aotrou and Itroun)/Goldberry (LotR); The Sleeper in the Tower of Pearl (BoLT)/Rose Red (Snow White and Rose Red); Thuringwethil (Silmarillion)/Carmilla (Castlevania)

Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; Major Character Death; Rape/Noncon; Underage; No Archive Warnings Apply
The femslash crossover bucket. I don't have many specific prompts beyond those I've pulled out of the tag set, although most of these ships have at least the potential to lean dark, so feel free to go in that direction if you wish. Otherwise, please give me beautiful smut between magical women and I will be very happy.
Ships: Celebrimbor (Silmarillion)/Hector (Celebrimbor); Dorian Gray (Penny Dreadful)/Maglor (Silmarillion)
Tags: Angry Sex; banter as foreplay; banter in bed; Bisexuality; Biting; Blood Kink; Bloodplay; Bloodplay - bleeding from biting; Bondage – Blindfolds; Breathplay; Character study through porn; collarbone kisses; Deal with a Devil; Drugs - Drinking wine in bed before or after sex; Erotic Poetry; Injuries - Sex while recovering from an injury; Knifeplay; Markings - Tracing Scars During Sex; Photographed; Sensation Play; Sex as Grief Processing; Sexy Shenanigans at a Masked Ball; unexpected tenderness
Opt-in Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence; No Archive Warnings Apply
The first time I watched Castlevania I just devoured it for the story, and for the relationship between the central trio. The second time, I spotted an eight-pointed star on Hector the Forgemaster's clothing, and my crackiest crossover idea in a while was born. There's plenty of magical technology lying around in Dracula's castle, including a mirror that can transport people halfway across the world; between that and whatever Celebrimbor and the Gwaith-i-Mírdain invented or had access to, there's definitely scope for cross-dimensional communication or travel.
As for Dorian and Maglor...they're both beautiful, immortal, and morally ambiguous. I just think it has a lot of potential – and I would love it if you did something with the deal Dorian made for his soul and how that contrasts with and parallels Maglor's Oath.
